Santa's Lap

Please excuse the lovely point and shoot shots.

Well, Nick was wide-eyed. Max was just positively perturbed. Nicholas had his list memorized, but when he got up there he couldn't speak. He did listen to Santa tell him to be "good for mom and dad so he can get some toys this year".

Our family portraits

Erica Price shot our family as part of the Roadside Families Project. We choose the Rivermarket, because that is where it all started with our first date back in December of 2000. I had the best date and the most awful portabella mushroom sandwich. :)

One Today

I am not a poet AND I know it, but I wanted to put a little something in Max's baby book for today.

A baby named Max
He was late getting here
He turned one today
Can you believe it's been a year?

He likes to eat peas
and play peek-a-boo
He's got chubby little knees
and his hair sticks up, too.

His older brother
May take all of his toys
But Max doesn't mind
He doesn't make too much noise

I found some too-tiny pants
in his dresser today
They will never fit him
but they may have to stay

The first of many years
how I love your pudgy toes
Those itty-bitty fingers
The little line down your nose

Our Sweet Little Maxwell

Brothers share everything

Ok, I am going to start "blogging". Here it goes. Woot, woot!

Brothers share everything....including their stomach viruses. Nicholas turned three on Thursday, just after getting over the stomach flu. Chris had Friday off and we took the boys out for some pictures. Nick looks like such a big boy, doesn't he?

To combat Max's crazy hair, I put gel in it and used the hair dryer to calm it down. On the way in the car, it managed to become crazier than normal (due to the carseat), the gel gave it more "oomph". Arggh, can't win. Someone asked me the other day why I don't try to "style" his hair. Ha!

Now Nick is better, Max is sick and has the worst diaper rash ever. I should get a shot of that. :)
