Hot & muggy....first sting

Nick and Max had haircuts today. Max actually did not scream like crazy (like normal). Nick wanted his hair to look like "Daddy's". That's what he told Angela. Angela has never seen Chris before, but did her best. Beauty Brands needs to give this woman a pay increase, she is incredibly patient.

More news: Nick recently went through a phase where he was styling his hair multiple times a day. Max will ask for a cookie and spends over an hour eating it. (See pics). They both LOVE apples and eat a few a day. We discovered that they are crazy about Zarda after we took them there for dinner and they actually sat still for 45 minutes, gobbling up BBQ and cheesy corn.

Nick will be in pre-school this fall. We have the house up for sale right now, so we aren't sure where he'll be at. Both boys love to read. This was a funny video of Chris's reading-time antics.

The boys could care less if it was 105 degrees out, they will just run and play until they get hungry. Max started climbing the ladder to the top of the playset today and makes it up on his own. Max decided to pick up a wasp, who stung his little thumb a few times. It was a rough night after these were taken. The thumb was a little swollen. Poor thing!

Friends

When they were six months old, Nick gave her a first kiss. (She did NOT like this, but we all thought it was hysterical). Now, it's funny to see how much they have grown and how well they play together. Jordan even let Nick proclaim her "Spiderman" and digs for worms. They are moving away and we'll miss them!

Awe

So Nick said the SWEETEST thing.

He said, "I'm happy."
I replied, "That's good, what makes you happy?"
He said, "Your heart".

Sometimes I wonder if he is not an old soul.
